Fountain Court

Ireland’s avant-garde queen, Róisín Murphy first became known in the 1990s as one-half of the UK alt-dance duo Moloko, before embarking on a solo career revealing her wonderfully idiosyncratic music, fashion, and performance sensibilities.

Approximate timings

International Teachers of Pop: 20.00
Róisín Murphy: 21.00

Somerset House has an onsite Box Office open from 18.00-21.00 for gigs located in the New Wing off of Lancaster Place. Please visit for any ticket enquires.

Over the course of four solo albums and numerous side projects, with collaborators including Matthew Herbert, Eddie Stevens and DJ Koze, Róisín has picked up nominations for the Mercury Music Prize and Ireland's Choice Music Prize, consistently adding bold new surprises to her sound with each successive record.

Her thirst for running with playful and adventurous new identities has given us enthralling tracks merging classic pop hooks, electronica, house and disco, and her shape-shifting visual persona never ceases to provoke and delight in equal measure.

What better way to round off Summer Series than with one of the most fearlessly original female artists around.

Róisín Murphy is pop’s exiled princess of glam. She represents a confection – of disco and art, of sensuousness and intelligence

International Teachers of Pop

After two successful years of sell-out touring and incendiary festival appearances across Europe with The Moonlandingz, group founders and songwriters Adrian Flanagan and Dean Honer have teamed up with Mancunian based singer Leonore Wheatley on new nerd disco project International Teachers Of Pop.

Enhanced Tickets

A select number of Enhanced tickets are available for an additional £25.00. Ticket holders will be given access to the private East Wing Bar with a free drink on arrival and exclusive entry to The Influence Project, a photography exhibition featuring portraits of the pioneers of R&B, Funk, Soul, Afrobeat and Hip Hop. Please note the East Wing Bar sits alongside the courtyard but does not offer a clear view of the main stage. The bar is open throughout the concert and your drinks can be taken into the main courtyard.
