SYSTEM: Sound Series & Future Sounds Events

Boiler Room, Gaika & Somerset House Studios presents SYSTEM, a weekly event series to celebrate Migration & sound system culture in the UK.

2018 marks the 70 year anniversary of Windrush and to celebrate we’re launching SYSTEM, a month long series in August that explores the impact of migration on music in the UK & British culture spanning music, film, editorial & an interactive installation.

Every Tuesday in August SYSTEM: Future Sounds will open up the installation to up-and-coming members of the sound system community making waves across the UK, with parties curated by fast rising key players Simba, Tudor Lion & Thali.

Thursdays will see us host SYSTEM: Sound Series, a line-up of parties that explore some of the biggest music scenes and the positive impact of migration on music. Deviation co-founder Judah, Aba Shanti, BBZ & The Soca Kingdom will all take the reins at the installation, showcasing UK Urban, Sound System, International Club & SOCA.
