Since 1994 Rinse FM has been transmitting the most uncompromising and innovative music from its East London heartland. Returning to Skate Lates, Rinse takes you back to garage, grime and funk from three leading figures at the pirate radio station.

Born in East London, Rinse FM co-founder DJ Slimzee shot to prominence alongside the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Wiley at the turn of the millennium. Whereas established garage DJs handled the new sound with caution, avid drum & bass fan Slimzee embraced it wholeheartedly. Prepare yourself for Slimzee’s original garage set.

What separates Maximum from the sprawl of grime DJs out there is his devout allegiance to the world of pirate radio. He was present at grime’s most important early clashes and as a Rinse FM regular, he brings an unmistakably live vibe to every session.

A primary figure in the UK bass music scene and long-time Rinse FM host, Scratcha DVA is adept in styles ranging from brash grime bangers to sunny, uplifting funky tracks, his productions are always fresh and inventive.
