A classically trained musician, they have broken onto the electronic music scene adapting customary practices to deliver a totally unique avenue within dance.
Their breakout debut Breaking My Mind showed an adept knowledge of dancefloor culture, receiving acclaim from artists such as Jamie XX, Jaguar and Sasha, whilst BBC Radio1's Jack Saunders proclaimed Kiimi as, “the future of electronic music”.
Subsequent releases have been supported by HAAI, Scuba, Jamz Supanova and the Blessed Madonna, who picked Kiimi as one of her BBC6Music show artists to watch in 2022.
Kiimi, who identifies as non-binary, has also created the online network Hunni Sound, a platform for femme-identifying, non-binary and Trans music producers and creators within audio tech. Partnering with Shoreditch House and Dalston Superstore, the collective has hosted a series of events, and aims to offer workshops for the growing Hunni Sound community.
