DAYTIMERS is a collective cultivating and platforming a united talent pool of diverse South Asian creative talent. The team archives and celebrates the history of British Brown brilliance and delivers exceptional creative events including their outstanding Boiler Room set as well as radio shows, tracks, mixes, compilations, playlists and a podcast.
For their Skate Lates set you can expect electronic escapades venturing across bass, house, dance, hip hop and more, often sampling and blending Bollywood, Indian classical or bhangra in imaginative ways.
Joining us will be jjamz and Rouhangeze aka RŪḤ.
jjamz (Jamaal), head of the collective and party Utopia Presents, plays a sound that can only be described as uniquely London. Hailing from Brixton, he blends together the sounds of broken beat, house, UK funky, amapiano and more, in sets that are defined by their energy rather than one genre. His musical journey has seen him play in two different bands, as well as hosting dances with his crew all over the UK and recently the US. Expect deeper grooves and soulful cuts.
Rouhangeze aka RŪḤ is a mauritian multi-disciplinary artist, singer-songwriter, producer, vocal therapist, and presenter of Jazz Odyssey at JazzFM. She celebrates unity in diversity through music, exploring the captivating cross-pollination of jazz and beyond; where innovation knows no bounds.
