Music Hackspace Artist Talk – Bishi

Musician, Artist, Multimedia Performer and Curator, Bishi was born in London of Bengali heritage. Bishi received musical training in both Hindustani and Western Classical styles, including study of the sitar under Gaurav Mazumdar a senior disciple of Ravi Shankar. She has recorded two albums , with long time collaborator Matthew Hardern: Albion Voice and Nights at The Circus. Her live performances explore interactive multimedia and video projection.

Bishi has co-founded WITCiH: The Women in Technology Creative Industries Hub, an umbrella to celebrate Women at The Intersection of The Arts & STEM. WITCiH is an online and real world platform for re- search, creation, performance and networking. WITCiH aims to explore & expand our knowledge of women in tech, past, present & future.

Doors for this event will open at 18.30. The talk will begin at 19.00 with time for Q&A afterwards. Drinks will be available from the bar next to the entrance to the New Wing of Somerset House.
