The theme of the London Design Biennale 2018, Emotional States, looks to provoke a broad interpretation across design disciplines, interrogating how design can be used as a possible solution to increase happiness and to influence our emotions and experiences.
Emotions are universal, with shared meanings that transcend borders. Thoughtful design and technology can create positive emotional experiences, enabling new social possibilities and meaningful connections between people.
