Discussions will be held in the Reading Room between Olya Kuryshchuk, Editor-in-Chief of Granary 1 and designers who are representing Canada, Sri Lanka, Rwanda and Bangladesh across the course of the evening.
Rahemur Rahman will lead a live drawing class with young people who contributed to his installation at International Fashion Showcase. Sessions at 18.00, 18.30, 19.00 and 19.30.
Cedric Mizero, representing Rwanda, will give live performances of traditional Rwandese drumming inspired by one of the pieces he has created for IFS.
Sound therapist Lani Rocillo will lead two meditation sessions in Uruguay’s installation ‘Anxious memories from the end of the World’ which explores anxiety, mental health and mindfulness.
Material designer Ella Bulley will give micro-lectures on the material properties of sugar and its social, cultural and economic histories as a response to Ami Doshi Shah’s installation Salt of the Earth.
