Eric Lynne’s 23-minute film “Rob and Valentyna in Scotland” was shot in 2009 on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, and in England and Ukraine. In 2010 it was awarded at the Sundance Film Festival and was presented in New Directors/New Films at the Film Society of Lincoln Center and MoMA. The Boston Globe called it a “lovely symphony of sideways glances and things unsaid” and IndieWire found it “delicious.” Now it’s 2018 and on 15 October, Forest Fringe’s Amateurs Club will host the first screening of the film since 2011, followed by a discussion with director/writer Eric Lynne. A digging into old files, a primary-source case study on a short film and its making.
