Six career criminals, each with colour coded pseudonyms, are brought together to pull off a daring diamond heist. The cops are alerted, and bloody carnage ensues, leaving the remainder of the gang holed up in an abandoned warehouse as they try to work out who was the snitch.
With perfectly judged comic and dramatic performances from the likes of Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth and Steve Buscemi, super sharp dialogue and a cracking, wall-to-wall soundtrack courtesy of the film’s fictional radio DJ, featuring K-Billy’s Super Sounds of the 70s, this critical and commercial hit set the tone and benchmark for what was to come from Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds).
