Lamford’s installation summons a theatrical back-stage to Somerset House itself, with abandoned architectural features, imagined vistas, theatrical props, shimmering curtains and transformative stages that provides visitors the opportunity to be a player in an as-yet-unscripted play.
Chloe Lamford’s work spans theatre, installation, music and opera nationally and internationally. She is associate designer at the Royal Court Theatre, and also regularly designs for the National Theatre and the Young Vic, amongst others.
