Nina's work considers current dance phenomena in relation to the wider socio-technical environments from which they emerge. Using primarily with video, performance, writing and installation, the work looks at how dance in popular culture is disseminated, circulated, made, and consumed. Previous research projects have included; the recent commodification of the dancing body on digital platforms and rethinking dances of today as traditional dances of the future. Oscillating between the use of fiction and non-fiction, her work helps build new critical frameworks for engaging with dance practices.

In 2021 they co-founded Future Artefacts FM with artist Niamh Schmidtke which is a bi-monthly broadcast which commission sound works by artists working with speculative fiction.

Nina will use their residency at Somerset House Studios to explore a provocative new project examining the concept of "Death by GPS" and its implications on our cultural understanding of mortality in a networked world. Through moving image works, performances, and installations, Nina will develop a multifaceted narrative told from the perspectives of various characters. This project represents a shift in their practice, as they work towards creating a post-print version of their imagined world, enabling audiences to engage with the story as a cohesive whole beyond traditional gallery and museum contexts.
