Kadeem Oak is an artist and filmmaker based in London; his work is concerned with the vernacular and reconfiguration of artist's moving image, storytelling and experimental documentation. Examining the ways in which we share and articulate a sense of place through time, locality, sonic experimentation, nature and ecology while exploring new perspectives on Black British identity and a diasporic heritage today.

Kadeem is currently the recipient of the Arts Council's DYCP grant and was the recipient of the ICA Image Behaviour 2022 production grant which culminated in a solo presentation of his new film installation: Effra Creek! Effra Wash! Effra Splash! in the ICA Theatre in March 2022. Recent group exhibitions/screenings include: Reel, Axis Not Poles (2022) at Cubitt Gallery, London; Nicoletti Gallery (2022); Berbeck Institute of Moving Image (2021); Transmissions, Somerset House (2020).
