Hailed by Rolling Stone as ‘Nashville’s most low-key musical revolutionary’ and celebrated for her uniquely vulnerable voice, Joy Oladokun’s compelling blend of folk, R&B, rock and pop has resonated with a wide audience since her breakthrough in 2020. Widely respected by her peers, she has collaborated with artists such as Brandi Carlile and Noah Kahan and joined artists including John Mayer, My Morning Jacket, Leon Bridges and Hozier on the road.
Last year Oladokun released a self-produced fifth studio album, Observations from a Crowded Room. Blending her signature style with psychedelic electronic sounds, the album delves into themes of vulnerability and self-exploration, reflecting her experiences as a queer black woman and daughter of Nigerian immigrants.
