Part of Somerset House’s Earth Day celebrations, this outdoor workshop with Anusha Subramanyam links the exhibition’s historic, ecological, and emotional narratives to the urgent need for healing and reconnection with the Earth.

Rooted in somatic movement practices and South Asian dance traditions, the session will explore our intrinsic connection to the natural world through the five classical elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. The workshop serves as a bridge between the historic, ecological, and emotional narratives of the Salt Cosmologies exhibition and the present moment, where healing and reconnection to the Earth are vital.

Please note, most of the workshop takes place outdoors. To get the best experience, we encourage you to dress accordingly for the weather.
