felix taylor is an artist and composer from South London. His work looks towards field recording, musical composition, computer programming, radio broadcasts, collage and live performance. felix’s practice seeks experiences and situations in which our common perception of time can be altered or skewed. Examining history, memory and natural systems, he looks towards experiences in which (primarily Black) bodies and space take precedence.
Alongside western notation, graphic scores and text instructions he often composes music electronically, with a focus on synthesisers, midi instruments, guitar, text to speech and field recordings.
felix's main focus over this time is to focus his practice on his own memories and experiences after a string of more socially-led artworks and collaborations over the past year. Looking towards more autobiographical / autofictitious ways of expression in musical improvisation, installation, writing and performing.
