Black Girl Fest Studios curate an afternoon of dance, breathwork and movement activations for young Black people.

Founded by Nicole Crentsil in 2017, initially as an annual festival, the brand has evolved into a full-service cultural production studio and consultancy. This summer, Black Girl Fest is empowering young Black people through sports, wellness, and self-development.

Schedule

13.00 - 14.00 | Martial Arts Play
Jasmine Douglas, founder of Babes on Waves Club and Busy Babes, the UK's first Ice Bath & Sauna club for People of Colour, hosts a fun interactive session playing team games inspired by Martial Arts. It’s about getting out of your head and thoughts, to do a workout that’s fun and puts you into flow state, as well as building confidence to try new things.

14.30 - 15.30 | Dance Workshop
Join Natalie Lawrensky, a renowned choreographer, fitness trainer, nutritionist, and Nike Well Collective coach. Natalie's workshop will focus on cultivating strength, endurance, self-confidence, and personal growth through dance.

About Black Girl Fest
Black Girl Fest is a cultural studio and consultancy specialising in social innovation, community, and experiential events. Their mission is to create spaces that empower Black and non-binary people to flourish.

This is a family friendly event and we welcome people of all ages. However, we recommend carers provide ear defenders for those with a higher sensitivity to amplified music.
