Black Unity Bike Ride (BUBR), founded by Londoner Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa, celebrates its fifth year and continues the drive for positive change, encouraging unity and empowerment among the Black community through wellness activations. The flagship activation is their annual 17-mile bike ride across London.
Following the ride, join us for a day of family friendly entertainment in the courtyard with social dance, double-dutch and the fountains, followed by an early evening session of bass culture and uplifting entertainment powered by the Lionpulse Soundsystem.
Annual 17-Mile Bike Ride
Join BUBR's flagship event, a 17-mile bike ride across London. Somerset House is delighted to be the second stop on the route, providing refreshments and a place to rest for BUBR cyclists before they cross the River Thames and conclude in Dulwich Park.
Courtyard Entertainment
Lionbeat, who lead the ‘official vibe makers crew’ of the Black Unity Bike Ride, will be setting the scene in the courtyard, with essential bass culture music and family entertainment throughout the day. The Lionpulse Soundsystem is joined by Yaw Evans (live set), Watus187, Eerf Evil & Kunfused (3rd_Culture), Cheza Lucina B2B Zakaia, with special guests Jump LDN, Speaker Box Street Party and Making Numbers.
This is a family friendly event and we welcome people of all ages. However, we recommend carers provide ear defenders for those with a higher sensitivity to amplified music.
