the long night coincides with the end of daylight saving time and acknowledges the seasonal shift in our daily routines with a series of performance interventions that take place across the spaces of the River Rooms.
The night will include two three-hour programmes choreographed in relation to SERAFINE1369’s installation, responding to the presence and voices of the elements that make up the ‘exploded clock’, and the different rhythms and sensations proposed by the space. The interventions address the material, bodily and psychic in considering time and its non-linearity, fragmentation and cycling.
The programme will feature sonic and movement offerings from interdisciplinary artists including Antonija Livingstone, Nissa Nishikawa, tyroneisaacstuart, Mary Feliciano and Stephanie McMann. There will be specially prepared herbal tea blends available during the event (no alcohol will be served).
Visitors can book to attend one of two three-hour cycles:
- First entry 21.00-00.00
- Second entry 00.00-02.00 (timing includes clocks going back one hour at 02.00 when Daylight Saving Time ends)
