Screening Room Enquiry Form

Located in the South Wing with fixed theatre-style seating for up to 60 guests, the Screening Room offers an ideal space for film screenings, presentations and talks.

The space comes with:

A high resolution projector & screen
Theatre-style seating
Lectern
Dimmable lighting
Microphones
Blu-ray & DVD player
WiFi - 15Mbps as standard (this can be increased for an additional cost)
Basic AV support*

*(Depending on your AV requirements, we may recommend that you upgrade to a more advanced AV support package to ensure your event runs smoothly. There may be an additional cost for this)

Please note that no food or drink can be consumed in the Screening Room. There is a separate room (B13) which can be hired as a breakout space for serving refreshments.

If your event may be of interest and benefit to the wider Somerset House Community Programme, we may be able to provide some support. Please indicate this in your enquiry.

Please note:

Residents receive heavily discounted rates on venue hire as a benefit of being part of the Somerset House Community. The hire or event must be organised, led and paid for by the resident themselves, and not on behalf of an external client or contractor, in order to qualify for the discounted rates.
Prices are set on a sliding scale and vary depending on your requirements, the level of event management support you will need and any additional services required. You will be sent a tailored quote once we have discussed your requirements with you. The final cost may vary if your requirements change.
The prices listed in the pricing document are applicable to small-scale private/invite only hires and events. Pricing for public events and larger spaces are available on request.
For larger scale, public or commercial hires, you may be referred to the Commercial Events Team and your hire will need to be approved by our Programming Committee.

Basic set up – ideal for simple, low key events. No AV technician is required, and equipment will be plug in & play.

Medium set up – suitable for public film screenings & presentations, a basic level of AV support will be provided. Residents will get access to microphones, a Blu-ray and DVD player.

Advanced set up – perfect for high profile film screenings & presentations. A dedicated AV technician will be available throughout your event to help with set up and troubleshooting. They can also help adjust the settings on the projector to get the most out of your film screening.
