Davina and Emma will explore how the work responds to the current climate and creates a timely platform to engage with birth, life, death, loss and collective grief, through the personal and potentially political act of naming.
About the speakers
YARA + DAVINA create art with a focus on engagement and participation. Using familiar formats such as jokes, mini golf, choirs and tattoo parlours, they root their works in the everyday.
Emma Curtis is both consultant and collaborator for the Arrivals + Departures public programme. She is a secular minister specialising in funeral ceremonies, and a grief and resilience counsellor.
