Earlier this week we announced a new co-commission in collaboration with Abandon Normal Devices and University of Salford Art Collection from Studios resident Marija Bozinovska Jones. An online exclusive for our monthly live streamed series I Should Be Doing Something Else Right Now (Live) - Beginningless Mind takes the form of a three-fold audio-visual narrative featuring music by 33EMYBW and J.G. Biberkopf alongside A.I. developed with Jayson Haebich, to examine the flowing process of interconnectedness; an essay trilogy considering interplanetary kinship.
For this week's Deep Listen, we revisit a previous audio-visual work by Bozinovska Jones and Biberkopf, Fascia 171208180222. An interview recorded at Sonic Acts in 2018, the artists talked to us about the live performance - a work employing a range of spoken and programming languages to position the contemporary self as a relational matrix, enmeshed in surveillance technologies.
