Upgrade Yourself: Emerging Talent with Arts Thread

Thu 25 Jun
13.00 - 14.00
Streamed Live

Join ARTS THREAD as they share their innovative online platform which supports up and coming emerging creative talent.

Arts Thread showcases creative work of graduates across areas of fashion, graphics, film, photography, interiors, product, industrial design, fine art, craft, textiles and visual communication.

With a vast range of online practical guides, tips and advice, this Peer Exchange will allow you the chance to ask direct questions around some of these areas you may be thinking about, for example; preparing for life after graduation, gearing up for life at University/Art School, how to survive the knocks and falls of managing short deadlines and several projects at once when you start to study. There will also be some helpful hints in how to create a unique and personal portfolio, as well as some advice on how to promote yourself online.

Upgrade Yourself: Peer Exchange is our new digital strand of the Creative Careers & Skills programme at Somerset House, bringing you fortnightly bite-size snippets of information, innovation and inspiration over lunch-time sessions.

We’re reaching out and connecting you to our Somerset House Studios Artist community, various colleagues of Somerset House Trust, Somerset House Exchange Members as well as with our peers and industry friends within the wider creative industries.

Sign up to the Creative Careers mailing list to receive additional material from our Upgrade Yourself sessions and hear first about new opportunities and creatives added to the Upgrade Yourself line-up.

With thanks to the Maria Bjornson Memorial Fund for its support.
