Drop in to experience Echo Youth, an artwork in the form of an app, created by Matthew Plummer Fernandez. The app incorporates children’s messages about positive environmental change through placards which can be placed in augmented reality to produce an instant, virtual protest.
Inspired by the Snoopy for President movement in the 1960s where young people adopted Snoopy as their preferential presidential candidate, Plummer Fernandez created Echo Youth as a platform to amplify young voices.
Participants will have the opportunity to test the Echo Youth app within the gallery space, and can create new placards for inclusion within future versions of the artwork.
This activity is for families with accompanied children aged 6+.
First come first served, subject to capacity, free with exhibition entry.
