The Listening Party series brings together an array of artists and musicians, each exploring the unique sonic and visual cultures that underpin their practice. In conversation with Somerset House Studios resident, Imran Perretta, the artists will explore their deepest cuts, from music videos obsessions to unreleased album tracks, each meditating on the influences that have shaped their identity and their creative output. The last event in the series
For the last instalment of the series Imran will be in-conversation with Kindness (Adam Bainbridge), an Asian British producer, DJ, documentary maker & radio host. His solo works include albums World You Need A Change of Mind, 2012 and Otherness, 2014. As a producer he lends a distinct and recognizable sound, with recent projects including work on Freetown Sound by Blood Orange and A Seat at the Table by Solange Knowles, for which he won a Grammy. A researcher and scholar as much as creator, his RBMA radio show featured a sizable cross section of both contemporary and cult DJs, producers and artists. He lives and works in New York.
