Biographies
Alan Warburton's technologically articulate practice has involved the production of short films, prints, sculptures, 3D models, AR and VR experiences. Central to his work is a critically literate understanding of the commercial computer generated (CG) image, which he explores through focused software studies and video essays.
Alan studied Critical Fine Art Practice at Brighton University from 2002 - 2005, then Digital VFX at Escape Studios in 2007. He is currently undertaking a practice based New Media MA at London South Bank University and part of their Centre for the Study of the Networked Image. He has exhibited, screened and broadcast internationally, most notably at institutions and festivals including The Photographers' Gallery, Southbank Centre, The Barbican, Carnegie Museum of Art, Transmediale, National Gallery of Victoria, Fotomuseum Winterthur, Ars Electronica and The Austrian Film Museum. A selection of his work is archived by the British Film Institute.
Album Corp is a curatorial platform composed of musician Klein and writer Jacob Samuel. Their practice explores sounds, the movement within sisterhood and the idea of vulnerability with youth. AlbumCorp will be using their time at the Studios to create opportunities for those who don't feel visible.Their previous work has been the formation and presentation of the We’re Still About era Portia Lewis and the after school presentation of The Foxy Five at Somerset House.
FRAUD is an art-research duo composed by Audrey Samson and Francisco Gallardo. Their backgrounds include computational culture, critical technical practices, post-colonial and critical feminism, performance, design and space system engineering. They develop forms of art-led inquiry into the multiples scales of power and governmentability that flow through physical and cultural spaces. Francisco is an unlicensed fishmonger and Audrey flies Cessnas. Past exhibitions and performances include the Venice Biennale, V&A, Centro-centro, Medialab Prado, Rotterdam Architecture Biennale, Kunsthal Århus, Kunsthall Trondheim, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain, Maison d’Art Actuel des Chartreux, Connecting Spaces, National Gallery Singapore and Arts Catalyst.
