FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. This Promotion is only open to legal United Kingdom residents aged 18 or over. This Promotion excludes employees of American Express, PromoVeritas and their immediate families, American Express’ agents or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.
2. Entry: To enter go to www.somersethouse.org.uk/AmexInvitesCompetition and complete the form with your full name and email address.
3. Promotion Period: Enter between 00.01 BST on 22 June 2017 and 23.59 BST on 2 July 2017.
4. Prizes: 110 winners will each win 1x pair of tickets to attend one of the 11 Summer Series events listed below. The tickets are evenly spread over the 11 nights. Artists in the draw include: Norah Jones, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, The Cinematic Orchestra, Goldfrapp, Warpaint, The Robert Glasper Experiment, Birdy, Foster The People, Tom Misch (Live), Mashrou’ Leila and Songhoy Blues
5. Further Prize Details and Conditions:
i. The Prize is for tickets only;
ii. The winner and their guest must be able to attend the event on the date of their ticket;
iii. Guests must be 18 years of age at time of the event;
iv. Once tickets are issued they are only valid for the date and times shown; no alternatives will be available;
v. The winners are responsible for any extra charges incurred whilst redeeming the tickets and neither travel, accommodation or spending money is included; and
vi. The winners must inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or any similar access needs.
vii. Winners are responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guest whilst taking the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the winner and/or guest from participation in any aspect of the Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the Promoter or any companies associated with the Prize or the winner and/or guest act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is, in the opinion of the Promoter, anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
viii. Attendance of the named Artists is anticipated but cannot be guaranteed in the event of sickness, delay or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter.
ix. The winners’ details will be transferred to Somerset House for the administration of the Promotion.
6. Maximum one entry, per person, during the Promotion. Systems will be in place to ensure that no entrant may enter more than once.
7. Winner Selection: All valid entries received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period will be entered into the relevant prize draw to be conducted within 3 working days of the closing date and, for your total confidence, by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service.
8. Winner Notification: The winners will be contacted within 24 hours of the draw via the email address provided on entry. Winners will be required to respond to the notification within 24 hours of initial contact to confirm eligibility and once a winner has been verified the Promoter will confirm Prize details. If a winner fails to respond within such timeframe they may be disqualified and an alternate entrant selected (a reserve). Reserves may have less time to respond.
9. Moderation: The Promoter will reject entries which, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter:
- contains any content that is offensive or could reflect negatively on the name, reputation, or goodwill of the Promoter or any brand partner;
- includes trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material not owned by you or used without the right holder's prior written permission (including famous names, company names, etc.);
- defames, misrepresents, or insults other people or companies, including, but not limited to the Promoter (including its partners); or
- promotes any political agenda.
10. The Prize is only valid for a specified event on a specified date and time. The winner will be notified of the ticket date that they have won during Winner Notification. No compensation will be offered due to inability to attend or delay on the part of the winner. No alternative to the Prize will be offered and the Prize is not transferable, nor is there any cash equivalent.
11. The winner and their guest must abide by the Terms and Conditions of Somerset House, which form part of the prize. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in refused entry, or the winner and their guest being required to leave the venue.
12. Tickets will need to be collected by the winner on the day of the event at the ticket office located in the Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court at Somerset House.
13. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries, or entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
14. Entries suspected to be automatically submitted by scripts or attributable to Facebook user accounts which contravene Facebook’s Terms and Conditions will be deemed null and void and will be removed from the prize draw.
15. Winner publication: The names and counties of the confirmed winners will be available from six weeks after the closing date until eight weeks after the closing date by going to www.promowinners.com/AmexSummerSeries2017.
16. The winners agree to take part in publicity in connection with this prize draw. If a winner does not want their name to be published they should inform American Express when accepting their prize.
17. Data Protection: The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the prize draw and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. 18. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
19. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the prize draw.
20. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims suffered by entrants as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting a prize. The Promoter further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person relating to or resulting from participation with this Promotion.
21. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
22. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
23. All entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
24. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for any third party products or services.
25. The Promoter’s decision is binding in all matters relating to this Promotion, and no correspondence shall be entered into.
26. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
