Nestled in the iconic South Wing of Somerset House, Aram is the exciting new café, deli, and restaurant from Syrian-born chef Imad Alarnab, complementing our 25th anniversary celebrations. With sweeping views over the River Terrace, Aram’s décor blends historic elegance with Eastern Mediterranean warmth. Chef Imad, who first gained acclaim with Imad’s Syrian Kitchen in Soho, views Aram as a vehicle for storytelling, memory, and hope, bringing beloved family recipes and regional traditions to London’s cultural heart.
Open daily, the deli counter offers freshly baked pastries such as za’atar croissants and halva brownies, alongside wholesome wraps, dips, salads, and breads. Signature dishes include hummus salata, cauliflower salad with nuts and herbs, and labneh with poached eggs, while the drinks menu features Syrian mint tea, cardamom-spiced coffee, and refreshing pomegranate fizz. Many of the ingredients are specially imported from Syria, such as Medjool dates, tahini, and spices, bringing an authentic taste of the region to London.
With its vibrant daytime café and deli and its carefully sourced Syrian ingredients Aram offers a unique culinary journey at the heart of London’s cultural landmark.
